Performance improvement between innovation and sustainability:
international comparisons of health systems reforms in Europe
15 JUNE 2023 9.00 - 14.00
Auditorium Hall – Bergamo Fair
In European health systems, the reforms introduced to adapt services to the evolving needs of the population, involve the reorganization of health care and digital innovation. To ensure that innovation translates into improved health outcomes, there is a need for specific strategies to monitor the results obtained through these reforms. In this meeting, we will compare approaches from different countries and strategies adopted for the continuous monitoring of their results. After a series of presentations, the European Observatory of Health Systems and Policies will facilitate a dialogue between high level representatives of decision makers, health professionals and academics, aiming to respond to the following questions: Which organizational and technological solutions have been proposed in health systems reforms, and which indicators have been used to evaluate the specific contribution of digital innovation to health systems performance? How will countries ensure sustainability of these investments long term? Which forms of public-private partnerships can support innovation and sustainability of health systems?
